Milaor imposes numbering of houses and building
House Numbering Ordinance which intends to fix a lawfully accepted identity for every residential, commercial and industrial buildings and other establishments for easy location and access of communications will be implemented this year in Milaor, Camarines Sur.
Vice Mayor Andre Hidalgo, the main author of the ordinance disclosed that the measure is a pro-active stance for development. According to him, a fast growing community and with a rapidly increasing population like Milaor, locating a particular house, building and other establishment is now becoming a problem as they do not have numbers for easier indemnification.
The officials of the twenty (20) barangays in the municipality will be deputized to implement the installation of the house/building plates in their respective area of jurisdiction. Under the ordinance, the said officials are authorized to collect the service fee of twenty (P20.00) pesos from the Municipal Treasurer's Office for every installed plates. The amount shall accrue entirely to the implementation of the Ordinance.
Prior to the full implementation of the ordinance, a survey shall be undertaken or the purpose of determining the exact number of houses/buildings located in every zone and street in the entire barangays of the municipality.
Barangay with existing political boundary dispute or disputes will observe the status quo and the present territorial affinity of affected households or buildings will remain. Appropriate corrections will be made to the numbering of houses/buildings when the matter is resolved.
